Covenant Promise Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation reaching out to meet the needs of mankind. Presently within Lamesa, we have started the Veterans Retraining Center. This facility is designed to help in the retraining of veterans who have been displaced by war or by problems within life.

In an effort to learn how to better assist these veterans, the staff of Covenant Promise Ministries evaluated the local job market and needs of the people within Lamesa. In this process, the staff identified a shortage of affordable housing. This type of housing is greatly needed to assist employers as they work to meet staffing requirements for places such as the correctional system, hospital, and nursing home.

As a result of this identified need, Covenant Promise Ministries designed a program to retrain veterans that would also in turn benefit the community. Through these programs veterans are taught professional construction skills and provided with on-the-job training.

In summary, veterans are taught job skills that are utilized by the building of facilities used to assist the community in its housing shortage. In addition, CPM, also offers individuals optional access to a fifty bed co-ed training facility for those working to complete the training program.
